We are extremely excited to welcome local winemaker Chris Haywood from Astley Vineyard to Bottles Wine Shop for a tasting of their superlative sparkling and white wines. This is a fabulous opportunity to ask an English winemaker about the unique and exciting future for English wines, as well as the challenges of growing grapes in this beautiful part of the World.

This is a rare opportunity to join us in a fun and delicious deep-dive into the world of English wine. You will enjoy a selection of their range including white and sparking alongside the very person who made it!

About Astley Vineyard:

Astley Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in the UK. Planted in 1971 – when it was reputedly the most northerly vineyard in the world – they produce a range of boutique still & sparkling wine from their 5 acre vineyard just north of Worcester. Taken over by the Haywood family in 2017, they now produce all of their wines on site, and sell from their intimate cellar door shop. Astley’s wines have featured in Michelin Starred restaurants across the country and are an excellent example of what England has to offer, with a stunning range including the award winning Sabrinna 2021, named “best value English still wine”.

*We hold wine tastings upstairs in our Reindeer Court Shop. We unfortunately have limited options for those wanting to attend with mobility difficulties, although we will always endeavour to be as inclusive and helpful as possible. Please contact us for further information.

*Bottles Wine Shop is ordinarily a very dog-friendly place to visit however we would politely request that for our tasting events, furry friends are left in the comfort of their homes!
