Papa’s Caffe, New Street, Worcester
This artwork began with my own photograph of Papa’s Caffe on New Street, one of Worcester’s most distinctive historic streets. I wanted to preserve the character of the building rather than simply reproduce the photograph, so I developed the image into a digital watercolour study, retaining the timbered architecture, street atmosphere and recognisable frontage.
The finished work forms part of my wider project documenting familiar Worcestershire places through original photography and digital artwork. My aim is to turn everyday local views into pictures that people can recognise, remember and, ultimately, own.
